#TechnionConnectedWorld: Annual Mission of Technion France, May 11-14, 2018, Haifa

2017 was the year of all records for the Israeli innovation ecosystem; $ 5.24 billion was raised by the Israeli early-stage start-ups, against $ 4.8 billion in 2016, with an average amount of the entry ticket of $ 10 million. The establishment of R&D centers of multinational such as Amazon and Alibaba in Haifa confirmed that Technion is a strategic place of innovation for GAFA and BATX.

Technion France is organizing the 13th edition of its Annual Mission from Friday 11th to Monday 14th May 2018 at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, in Haifa, Israel on the topic “#TechnionConnectedWorld: Towards the Union of Human Kind and Machine.

This essential scientific and technological meeting between the two ecosystems will focus on the theme of hot tech topics : Cybersecurity, IoT, Networks & Telecoms, Autonomous Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Full Data, MedTech, FoodTech, Robotics, and Edtech are some of the topics that will be discussed and will give the opportunity to exchanges between members of the delegation, Technion experts but also with representatives of innovative Israeli start-ups in these fields.

During 4 days, the delegation will discover the local innovation ecosystem, visit  the Technion Drive Accelerator – research centers, meet the potential public and private partners and participate in targeted business meetings.

This Mission will be also an opportunity to discover the incredible richness of Israel’s culture and history on Saturday during the visit of Jerusalem and its old city.

On Sunday 13th and Monday 14th will be dedicated to the visit of the Technion Campus and its laboratories and will expose innovations at the forefront of progress in multiple scientific and technological fields.

A Gala dinner in the presence of the Management of the Technion, its President, Professor Peretz Lavie, Her Excellency the Ambassador of France in Israel, Mrs. Hélène Le Gal, the Haifa Consulate, Mrs. Catherine Crosnier, representatives of the Embassy in Israel and other distinguished guests will participate in this Gala dinner.

Taking part of the delegation enables the delegation to meet with Technion experts outside the initial program, to identify your technological interests and initiate discussions for strategic bilateral partnerships.
