CDI Systems is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with WanXin Media, a public company based in Hefei, China for the deployment of CDI Systems’ e-publishing technology – NetIS.
The signing ceremony took place in May at WanXin Media’s offices and was attended by the top management of both companies and their respective CEO’s Mr. Wenshen Wu and Mr. Itzhak Levit.
“This is a wonderful and incredible achievement for our company” Mr. Levit said. “Our competitor in this bid was a huge and well established Chinese company. Fortunately, after an intensive process, WanXin was convinced that CDI Systems offers not only a sophisticated platform but also years of experience in the e-publishing world and the proven ability to deliver on time”. And he added “the publishing industry in China is very centralized and it isn’t obvious at all that foreign technology companies get through there.”
Throughout 2013, CDI Systems established its own subsidiary in Beijing via collaboration with Shirat Enterprise involved in a series of partnerships with the local governments of major Chinese cities. “Shirat’s contribution to the soft landing of our company in China, as well as their proven capabilities in business development acceleration, was very significant. We are very happy that we decided to partner with them”, added Mr. Levit.
The agreement, which is estimated to be 6 digits, splits into three stages: First – launching a fully operational website delivering protected digital content to end-user followed by two additional stages focusing on a set of applications targeting the educational market in the Anhui Province. During the ceremony the parties also signed an additional agreement that sets the foundations for a future R&D project.
